Skinhead Girls is a cult 1970s pulp novel by “Richard Allen”, the pen name James Moffat used for New English Library’s skinhead-era series. The cover bills it as the story of a “bother girl”, the female side of the “bovver” gang scene the series was known for. NEL published the book in 1972 as part of its run of youth-subculture paperbacks, alongside Skinhead, Suedehead and Smoothies. It is an adult pulp novel with the violence, sex and strong language typical of the series, and is sought after by collectors of British pulp and 1970s youth-culture fiction. This copy shows its age, with wear to the cover and spine.
